Card-processing fees and platform fees for chauffeur payments

Processing fees and platform fees are different charges. Keeping them distinct helps providers understand their payment economics and communicate clearly with passengers.

Two different types of fee

A payment provider may charge for processing a card or wallet transaction. Separately, UbiLimo charges the applicable market-specific platform fee on successful payments.

The UbiLimo platform fee is charged to the provider and is separate from payment-provider processing fees.

Why the distinction matters

Combining every charge under the label 'card fee' makes it difficult to understand where payment costs come from.

Providers should distinguish the payment provider's processing economics from the UbiLimo software fee when reviewing a transaction.

Keep payment costs distinct

Payment-provider processing fees and the UbiLimo platform fee are separate commercial amounts with different purposes.

Providers should review the applicable payment-provider and UbiLimo pricing information for the market and payment flow they use.

Do not assume one rule applies everywhere

Fee treatment can differ by payment method, market, transaction and provider account. Providers remain responsible for ensuring that their own pricing and customer communication follow the requirements that apply to them.
