A plain-language chauffeur payment glossary
Short definitions for the payment and operating terms used throughout UbiLimo.
- Payment request
- A provider-created request asking a passenger to pay an amount for a service already agreed directly between them.
- Payment status
- The current state of the supported payment workflow, such as awaiting payment, processing, successful or requiring attention.
- Processing fee
- A fee associated with processing a payment through the applicable payment provider or payment method. It is distinct from UbiLimo's platform fee.
- Platform fee
- The software fee charged by UbiLimo to the provider for a successful payment.
- Payment provider
- The regulated payment service provider that handles applicable payment-account onboarding, payment processing and payment-method eligibility.
- Provider
- The independent chauffeur or private transport business supplying the underlying transport service.
- Direct customer
- A passenger relationship obtained and managed by the provider rather than assigned through UbiLimo.
- Reconciliation
- The process of matching payment activity back to the payment request, passenger reference, journey context and agreed amount.
